good windchills. livermore and santa rosa reporting windchills in the 20s. it's cold for some but a dry forecast this week. you get a good look at that offshore right there. everything going off the coast. that means temperatures anywhere from 30s almost upper 20s to near 50. that 50 is half-moon bay with an offshore breeze. santa rosa 31. that puts their windchill 27. and livermore 26 with an east wind. you can see some of the north wind at napa 8. fairfield north. northeast at oakland. gives you an idea of what is going on. temperatures once they get going will warm up. the warmest temps will be coast and bay or santa rosa which benefits from that north wind. sunny and breezy today. a cold, cold morning. 50s and 60s. low to mid. in fact, this may be the coolest day of the week. we will see warmer temps kick in on tuesday and carry us right probably into friday. pretty good fine line here. each day temps will be warming up here. high pressure sets in on the west coast. over all it looks like a quiet pattern. >>> time now 6:10. bracing for a doctor shortage here in california. what is c

. 70's for portions of the bay area. the fog is forming in the north bay near santa rosa. that is where is expected to be dense. and for the inland valleys. the 8:00 hours, some clearing. with mostly clear skies. sunshine all run the bay area. temperatures are going to be chilly. santa rosa. 40's in san rafael, freezing in fairfield. livermore, pleasanton. and 30's in the bayshore. 44 degrees and for the afternoon very comfortable. mainly in the low 60s but we will see 60s. palo alto, cupertino sunnyvale. 60s in san jose. largely 60s with 56 degrees in richmond and closer to the coast a bit cooler. 68 degrees and 69 in napa. we will continue this dry, warm pattered. it is keeping it well to the north and that is where is it will stay. not much rain but we do need it. the average rainfall we could save nearly 9 in. of rain fall. six in san francisco. this is where we are sitting with rainfall totals just 1 in. in santa rosa. we really need that rainfall but we're not going to get it with warmer conditions. at santa rosa. 53 napa and 50 los gatos. sunny and mild conditions again tomorrow afternoon and the warming will peak on friday after the temperatures start to taper off a little bit. satellite image over the last 12 hours shows the movement of all of the clouds associated with an advancing frontal system pushing into the pacific northwest. warm air ahead of the frontal system and we are sealing the effects at the moment. also seeing clouds move in. forecast animation at 11:00 tonight. during the overnight we will not see rainfall. tomorrow mainly sunny skies and warm again. before about becomes mild tomorrow it becomes cool tonight. low temperatures will drop into the mid 40s. right around the bay shoreline. mid 40s also on the coast. san francisco a low of 47. that will be the mildest reading. and up into north bay valleys, santa rosa and nap about will see lows 39 degrees. 38 fairfield. 39 at livermore. then tomorrow. sunny in the afternoon. milder. than today. in the south bay look for highs of 69 san jose. 72 santa cruz. and several locations will break the 70-degree mark. on the penin

. currently 40 in santa rosa. we do have a starry night on tap. today's highs were substantial hi warmer than yesterday by a good 5 to 7 degrees. but still slightly below normal for this time of the year. mid-50s in pacifica, around the central play to 60 degrees at fairfield. back into rio vista and kordell ya. mid-50s in san jose, down from the average high typically experienced this time of the year64 degrees. tonight, freezing still in many in -- in land locations. 36 degrees in redwood city. back all the way to san mateo. this is the scene as you are heading towards the pay bridge this evening. we still have a little bit of backup in those non-fast track lanes. we will see some sunshine tomorrow of a some morning frost. looks like a dry weather pattern will continue all the way through the forecast period. and that's because this area of low pressure that dumbed some snow in the grapevine is not traversing an easterly direction making way to a huge dome of prior. that means dry conditions. if you wanted to compare dry conditions with this time last year, not too pad but nelless, these nu

. right now in the mid-30s in santa rosa. this, of course, is a view from mt. tam. nice and sunny out there. the high elevations today above 1,000 feet will be experiencing some perhaps gusty offshore winds from time to time but that will mix the atmosphere and allow for a little warming today, just a the bit. a couple degrees today and a couple degrees tomorrow. clear conditions across the bay area and with that the calm winds right now allow for still very cool numbers. redwood city 35. 36 in santa rosa but with a little sunshine. in the mid-40s in palo alto. 37 santa cruz. near 50 in monterey. so it will be a cool afternoon but with plenty of sunshine. we will look for a pretty nice-looking day today. temperatures just a few degrees below average. breezy this afternoon late in the day. the high elevations in the north and east bay w that mix questioning will get into lower 60s in the warmest locations around the bay. tonight it will be cool but some mixes may allow for the numbers to stay up above freezing just for the night because we are back for the freezing temperatures monday

in santa rosa. what we experienced today as far as our high temperatures are concerned, numbers generally about 7 degrees warmer than yesterday. pretty much into the 50s and the 60s. 58 degrees in san francisco which is averaging a couple of degrees below normal for this time of the year but we should be around 64 in san jose. tonight, overnight, we'll see numbers dipping down to that freezing point again right there in santa rosa. 33 degrees in livermore so pleasanton, you should drop down to 32. same story around antioch and disco bay, 37 degrees in san jose backing through the almaden valley. 42 in oakland. what you need to know your weather headlines do suggest that we will see tonight some clear skies and it looks like for the most part some areas of patchy frost in our inland areas. sunday starting off cold with sunrise at 7:06. seasonal temperatures during the day, gradually warming up and dry weather pattern continues. we are still under the influence of an area of high pressure here. see that right there? that was our thursday stor

soaring near 70 degrees. outside now 62 degrees in oakland, 63 santa rosa, 60 in san francisco. blue skies all the way to the beach. and here is that ridge again building in and a dominant ridge. this is going to keep the storm track north of the bay area for the next five to seven days so these temperatures running rather mild. a dry week ahead looks like so yeah, boy, can't change it so might as well enjoy it. looks like overnight tonight, we'll see some patchy fog developing along the coastline and maybe just inside the bay. not a whole lot but maybe just a smidgeon of fog early on. and then looks like we are going to see an offshore wind kick in as we head in toward the latter part of the week. of course, that will help clear out your skies to the coast and warm those temperatures up. 62 degrees expected in san jose, 59 today a little cool into pacifica, east bay temperatures up into the low 60s. and as you head inside the bay we'll find plenty of sunshine and some temperatures running as high as 63 degrees in oakland, about 64 in santa rosa an

because we are dropping off rapidly. below freezing for santa rosa and napa. best likelihood of seeing the frost. 45 for strategy and 33 for livermore and 38 degrees overnight tonight in san jose. the system that brought us the showers on friday has since moved to the east. we have a high pressure and as it build in it is bringing the north-northeast winds and bringing us colder air mass. it will be cold overnight. the high starts to establish it on sunday and monday. it's going to park itself close to the coast. it's going to kick the storm track well to the north of us, look for this weather pattern to hold for at least about 5-7 days. dry and mild conditions right on in through all of next week. we're talking at the latter part of the workweek, temperatures will start to heat up. pebble, pro am, cold start 40 degrees and warming up to the mid to upper 50s. won't last too long because by 4:00, we'll get to cool things off. 51 in santa rosa. 58 for san francisco. plenty of sunshine for you in san jose tomorrow. 61 degrees and check out santa cruz, 60. 60 for gilroy and monterey, 56 de
